Who’s running what?

Looking for recommendations on a setup. Don’t mind piecemeal-ing a setup to save some dunkets, but also not opposed to a kit. Hydratech seems to be a pretty solid kit directly from them, but they’re at least 120 days out. Or if anyone has anything you‘re looking to unload...

Hydroboost is one of those things that is probably best handled via a kit if you're not into scrounging/piecing things together. If you're going the DIY route, many people use Astro van boosters, Super Duty Boosters or SN95 boosters. Most, if not all, will need pushrod modifications, perhaps a different master cylinder depending on your brake setup, and you'll need to make/route hoses, etc. Then you'll need to decide how you're mounting it to the firewall - I run a BC Broncos mounting plate myself. You'll also need to verify valve cover clearance and upper intake clearance if you have Ford EFI.

Hydratech makes the best aftermarket kit (disclosure: I helped design the kit). WH and others have knocked off their stuff and now offer decent setups themselves. None of the aftermarket kits are cheap anymore.

Thanks! I did a bunch of poking around of the various kits after posting this and reported back on the cb.com thread you were on. I like the Hydratech setup a lot.
