Hey all!

Just got my Bronco sport a few weeks ago. Broke her in gently on a trip up to the property (Lassen County). Looking forward to some mild trail riding with the pups! And checking out some national parks. Curious what the trail capabilities of the sport are? Anyways, happy to join you all. Go Dodgers!!

Any of the Sport models should be fine for most graded dirt roads and those with moderate deterioration due to ruts and runoff. But if yours is the Badlands edition, those are a step up in capability with slightly larger tires, a bit more ground clearance and a locker. I've seen a Bronco Sport Badlands do some impressive things (for a crossover SUV) with a capable driver. It's not nearly as capable off-road as the Bronco, but for its class of vehicle (compact crossover SUV's), the Sport seems like a strong competitor. A lot of Bronco guys aren't that impressed with the Sport and are sad that Ford put the Bronco name on it. But Ford DID put the Bronco name on it so you and your Bronco Sport are more than welcome here in our online community and on our easier runs. Welcome to the group!

Fair enough. Since I’m not so much interested in rock crawling and such, but more about enjoying the view and the drive with the pups the sport feels perfect for me. (In all her crossover glory!) I’m hoping this group can help me find some “off the beaten path” trails around the country that are suitable. I appreciate being added to the group and will do my best to make the big Bronco name proud!!

Shannon, I led the run on Wild Horse trail last year at BBBB and we had a Sport with us! Here's a picture of all the different Bronco's on that run. Note that the sport is right up front.

Like the little sibling that wants to be with the cool big kids lol! Thanks, that’s good to know. I was thinking to check the Bash out however I will be in Wisconsin for a month during that time. But now I have another trail to check out.
