Big Bear Bronco Bash is just about here, and we're looking forward to the highlight of the weekend, Saturday night when we put the BASH in Bronco Bash! Join your So Cal Broncos brothers and sisters for a happy hour or two of BYO adult beverages, kicking tires and telling lies after you come off the trails.
Once again, our gratitude goes to our excellent corps of So Cal Broncos Grillmasters for the awesome spread they'll be putting out for us. Check out the BBQ Thread to get more of an idea of what that entails if you've never been to the Bash before, and it also has their donation links if you want to help cover the costs.
Also on Saturday night we have live music by the Tomcats, slinging classic rock and country hits for you to dance to, drink to, sing along to or just sit back and listen. Huge thanks once again to our dear friend Suzy Duff and the fine folks at James Duff Enterprises for their sponsorship of the live music. Please see them if you need anything for your 66 through 96 Bronco.
The Bash is a BYO affair so please bring your beverage of choice, and some to share if you've got something nice. We'll also have the Flabongo on hand for those who need a little taste of revisiting their youthful indiscretion.
Start times for both dinner and the live music are fluid, just dependent on "when they're ready". So just plan on hanging out after you get off the trails. Have a beer with your fellow So Cal Broncos brothers and sisters, kick some tires, tell some lies while we're all waiting to strap on the feed bag.
For the Saturday night Bash and all of the daily activities at our HQ, I will remind everyone once again that the Majestic Moose is owned by the Coptic Church, and they've graciously welcomed us back to enjoy their beautiful facilities. PLEASE respect the church and their property. Don't run over anything or park where you shouldn't. Pick up after yourself, there will be plenty of trash cans around. We all like to tie one on but please keep things to a dull roar, then respect their requested quiet hours beginning at 10:00PM. If you are visiting us but are not staying at the Majestic Moose, please be gracious with parking and don't clog up the driveways within the complex. Parking is very tight so if you can find a pace to park out along the street without driving in to the core of the resort that would be best. Also note that there is a back entrance on the next block north of the Boulevard, where you can park on quiet residential streets and simply walk through the back gate.
