So Cal Broncos OG
Mark your calendars! More info will be posted soon (but if you've ever been to BBBB before, you already know the drill).

FYI I've moved all of the past-BBBB posts into the archive folders to reduce confusion. IF YOU ARE NEW to Big Bear Bronco Bash and want to learn what its all about before we start updating the forum with fresh announcements for this year's BBBB, take a scroll through the BBBB Archived Threads (link at the top of this page). There is a wealth of information there from the past few years of Bashes. Pay particular attention to last year's posts (2025 BBBBXXIV) as it will be closest to the way we will be setting things up for this year, just keep in mind those were for last year so don't sign up for runs in those threads.

I’m finally going to be able to make it this year. Just wondering if a Taco would be allowed to trail ride. My buddy has a house in BB but unfortunately not a Bronco and we were planning on bringing our brides with. My 2 door would be a little cramped with 4 people. LMK

Sure, drive whatever you want. This isn't an event where people are "allowed" to do things as no one is actually in charge and these are public trails open to everyone. So as long as you are OK with the unorganized aspect of it, come on up and enjoy it however you see fit.

I'll be there as well, but just for Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, this is the year that I have to attend a family function on the weekend. As usual, I'll lead some runs as well. the question is, what trails should we hit this year?

Just got the truck back on line so I'm a go.
Will be leading Heart Break Ridge Friday. Want to check out Danny's new monument. Is it by Alan's?
Will be leading White Mountain again on Sat 🤠

Yeah Danny's monument is right next to Alan's.

Hey I've been checking this forum about once a week. I still don't see where the various runs are being coordinated. Yet my local group is starting to organize runs for BBBXXV. Please drop a link to the main run forum, if it's somewhere other than here....

We usually don’t see a ton of runs posted this early, but I’ll probably start putting some stuff together over the next couple weeks.

If any of the local groups are planning runs during BBBB, it’d be awesome if you could also throw them up here on the forum—trail, day/time, etc. Helps everyone coordinate a bit and keeps us from stacking a bunch of groups on the same trail.

If you’re looking for ideas, this is a good place to poke around:
It’s not everything (there are a lot of trails up there), but it’ll definitely get the wheels turning so to speak.

I’ve got a few ideas floating around, but nothing locked in yet. Thinking maybe an “up the mountain” run on Thursday or Friday. Lower Holcomb is always a good time, same with Delamar Mountain. And now that Snow Slide and the lookout tower trail are open again, might try to work those in somehow too. I know that the Souther California Mountain Foundation OHV Volunteer group is planning to be at BBBB and do a "trails and restoration" run. Again, early days win the planning for that, but it was a hit last year, so we plan to do it again this year.

For Thursday, I’ve done this in the past and it worked pretty well—split the day into a morning run and an afternoon run. That way the Wednesday arrivals have something to jump into Thursday morning, and the Thursday morning crowd still has something to hit in the afternoon. Might go that route again.

Honestly, the way this usually works best is just people jumping in and starting threads like:
“Hey, thinking about running X trail at Y time—who’s in?”
That’s how a lot of the best groups come together.

As a rough rule of thumb, easier trails can handle a decent-sized group (say ~10–15 Broncos). Harder trails… smaller is better. Ultimately it’s up to the trail leader, but I’ve done a 30 Bronco group before and yeah… not doing that again 😄. It just gets unwieldy and isn’t great for the trail.

Bottom line—most of the good runs come from folks here organizing organically vs everything being pre-planned. So definitely jump in, start a thread, and get something going!
