Rear leaf spring shackle flip

I'm looking into doing a rear leaf spring shackle flip but am having trouble finding any specific product for the early broncos. Has anyone here done this and has some advice?

I haven't done it myself but there was a time when it was a fairly common DIY mod. As I recall folks simply cut the spring hangers off and welded them back on upside down. The factory shackles seemed to work fine in compression rather than tension. But it should be easy to find aftermarket fabricated shackles if you want to go that route. Also it might be a good idea to do a search on classicbroncos.com on this subject. There should be some tribal knowledge about it over there.

Thanks Dusty. I thought I’d heard that too but it’s been a while. I’ll check classic too and maybe add any info I find on this topic.
