That's actually how we (So Cal Broncos) have always ran Heartbreak Ridge for the last 25 years, in that very direction, usually with the loop included. I only added my caveat about trail names for the benefit of our OG guys, because we have a different understanding of what "Sidewinder" is...

Just a clarification, you DO run through Round Valley (2N61Y) to get to Heartbreak Ridge. Another note for our long-time So Cal Broncos folks who might be joining you is that in this case I think by Sidewinder you're referring to the short loop trail on the side of Burns Canyon road, 2N70Y. Maybe consider Bailey Canyon if Wildhorse is still closed. It's a good piece of pavement just to get to it, but once you're down, you're already in San Bernardino, at the freeway. You could throw in Tunnel 2 to Miller Canyon to trade some of that pavement for dirt.

There might be a couple of overruns but I'm not sure what will be available. See Steffie at the Bash. She will have her table set up on Friday and Saturday evening.

@najay, if you have ONX Off-Road, there is already a track/route for White Mountain Trail set up in there. This link should take you to it. Note that the trail leader has the leeway to select the entry point, direction of travel and route to the trail, which the ONX track won't show you.

Jeff if you're looking for trails to run or lead, let me know. There are tons of trails up there that are currently open. For easy routes you might check out Snow Slide, Wildrose Meadows, Balky Horse, etc. I can help you figure out a route if you need any suggestions.
