BAT? Sounds like a candidate for that page.
Or possibly one of the auctions like Barrett-Jackson etc.
They all have nuances that you'll need to be aware of, and I'm not the guy who knows.
The only time that I can recall being in that area with SCEB was when I came thru in the VW "Caddy' on my way to somewhere else. I think that was the Caddy and not Patch, but it's been a few days since then and I've slept some since then.
I did tow the TrailBlazer to one of the SOBs. Camped with...
Looked it up on Gaia, goes over 10k, that's got to be a good test of cooling systems! I've been up to Rock Creek scouting campgrounds, and back in the late 70's I went on an epic snow camp further up that canyon.
I'm thinking that this would be a good trip for the TrailBlazer tent trailer. Need...
D & I spend a lot of time in the Owens Valley. Not sure that she'll be able to go or not, but I'm now planning on it.
Wheeler Crest is the only one that doesn't ring a bell. How technical is it?
A pic from the top of Silver Cyn (no charge for my thumb):
A legal mining claim on public lands can close access to everyone else, even though it's "Public Land." Talk to the ranchers and property owners over next to the gypsum mines on the North face of Big Bear about how those mines will close off access to their own private property. In the early...
Sliding the tire under the vehicle should be habit. Just do it. Place it directly under a frame rail as close to where you're working as is reasonable.
Just stumbled onto this a few minutes ago, a mining company is looking at re-opening mining for silver in the Calico Mountains area. I only just discovered this and haven't read far enough to know exactly where they plan to do this but it has the potential to impact our use and enjoyment of the...
Mine will operate normally IF I hot-wire it. Either the switch at the latch inside the tailgate has failed, or the wiring has been flexed one too many times and has broken.
Having looked at this several different times I think the best approach is simply park off the side of the freeway and hike up to it from there. My info is decades old so it may have changed, but it is that the guy who owns that private land on the East side of Afton Cyn Rd. is not the friendly...
Common problem, lots of write-ups on this on the Full Size Broncos forum. The fix usually involves replacing some wires and adding some relays. On mine I suspect that the wires going into the tail-gate have work-hardened and broken.
