Chad Williams here from San Diego. I've been a Jeep enthusiast for a couple of decades, a couple of Wranglers, a couple of Gladiators. I had some amazing adventures and will always be thankful for those Jeeps and the memories created -- but it was time for a change.
I've lived in San Diego for about 11 years now, working in technology.
My rig is a stock 2024 Bronco Raptor, and I don't think I could be much happier with it - an upgrade to the Jeep experience in every way - and I plan to use it for the purpose it was made.
Most of my wheeling in the San Diego area has been Anza Borrego/Borrego Springs - I've been going there for years, but still feels like there's always more to discover. I did a few other runs in various Jeeps, but looking forward to seeing what the Bronco can do - I am sure it is much more capable than I am. We've been up to Big Bear a couple times for skiing and camping, but not much wheeling - would like to change that, for sure.
I enjoy trail running most of all - not looking for any extreme thrills, and I can still manage to have a good time without breaking something.
My wife and two kids (boy and girl) sometimes tag along, but my son (13) enjoys it more than the ladies. I enjoy having him away from the Internet and outside.
Off-roading, to my experience, is a best as a buddy sport. I'd like to find a new group that gets out there.
